Prescient Named to The Tech Tribune’s Best Tech Startups in Durham for 2019

Prescient Durham Office.

Known by many as the startup capital of the South, Durham is the site of a blossoming entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Innovators and investors from cities like Silicon Valley, New York City, Boston and elsewhere across the country are beginning to flock to The Bull City as it evolves beyond the historic, brick factory-filled city built by tobacco. The home of Duke University and renowned innovation hotbed Research Triangle Park, the city has attracted Fortune 100 technology titans such as IBM, Sony Ericsson and Cisco Systems.

Durham’s hospitality toward technology, startups and entrepreneurship also lured us to the Tar Heel State last year, and now, we have been awarded as one of the best tech startup in Durham, according toThe Tech Tribune.

Prescient was awarded alongside Phononic, Spoonflower, Validic, Infinia ML, First, Aqueti, AdWerx, ServiceTrade and PlotWatt.

Our presence in North Carolina is vital for our national expansion plans. The manufacturing facility in Mebane allows us to serve markets in cities and states along the Eastern seaboard, and we currently have projects completed or underway in 14 states: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia.

In doing their research, The Tech Tribune considered several factors, including but not limited to:

    • Revenue potential.
    • Leadership team.
    • Brand/product traction.
    • Competitive landscape.

Additionally, all companies must be independent (un-acquired), privately owned, at most 10 years old, and have received at least one round of funding in order to qualify.

We are proud to call North Carolina home, and awards like this let us know that the hard work we are putting in is paying off. This award highlights the importance of innovation, and we look forward to continuing to shape the future of construction with our cutting-edge technology.
