Manufacturing and software company brings The Lofts at Jefferson one step closer to completion
DENVER — April 14, 2014 — Prescient, a Denver-based software design and structural system manufacturing company, today announced the completion of the standardized light gauge structural framing of The Lofts at Jefferson, a luxury apartment building in Loveland, Colorado.
The Lofts at Jefferson demonstrate the innovative and efficient building process offered by the Prescient platform, which is a faster, greener and cost-competitive alternative to traditional structural framing systems.
“Prescient was able to leverage their design software and automated manufacturing process to create an exceptionally high quality, structurally sound, sustainable framing solution for the building,” said Edie LaFonte, Owner and Manager of The Lofts at Jefferson. “All of the frame components were fabricated to precise specifications in the Prescient factory and tagged with QR codes for quick, precise erection on site with almost zero waste.”
The first building using the Prescient system – the 60,000 square foot B Street LoHi building in Denver’s popular Highlands neighborhood, was installed in just six weeks – roughly three times faster than the average build time of a wood frame structure.
“The success we have seen with these buildings illustrates that the Prescient system is efficient across multiple building types, while still allowing architects complete design freedom,” said Prescient’s CEO and co-founder John Vanker. “We are thrilled that Colorado builders and developers are using our system and realizing the economic benefits that it provides. ”
